For podcast studios

Sell every client a multicam edit and a social kit. Skip the hours of editing.

podswitch turns a session’s recordings into a multicam edit cut to whoever is talking, a clean dialogue mix and, on paid plans, captioned clips for social, ready in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Deliver it as a service or sell the project files. Your clients’ footage never leaves your studio: only the audio is uploaded.

Three ways to earn more from every session

  1. 01

Sell the edit as a service

Add “multicam edit” to every booking. podswitch makes the cut and the clean dialogue mix from the session’s own files; your editor checks it, polishes it and delivers. A service that used to need hours of switching angles becomes one you can offer on every session.

  2. 02

    Sell the project files

Some clients edit their own shows. Hand them a Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve project that is already cut, every switch still editable, instead of a hard drive of raw angles. They finish it in their own editor; you charge for the head start.

  3. 03

    Sell a social kit

From the same session, podswitch picks the moments most likely to work as short clips and builds them with captions, in vertical, square and landscape, plus a transcript. Package them per episode, the way UK studios already sell clips.

  4. Already sell editing?

Keep your price. podswitch takes the angle switching and the mix off your editor’s plate, so the same team gets through more sessions and spends its hours on the work clients notice.

Revenue, not profit: it is what clients would pay at these prices, before your time and costs. The price ranges are what UK studios publish (sources below the calculator). Volume and take-up are examples for you to change. podswitch does the angle switching, the clean mix and the first version of each clip; checking and finishing them is still your work.

What UK studios charge for a multicam edit

  • NextMedia London: Studio hour with a multi-camera edit and clean camera switching, against £75 for raw files, £125 an hour

Built for the way studios work

  • No video upload

Clients’ footage stays in the studio

The browser extracts the audio from each camera file on your machine; only that audio is uploaded. No gigabytes of a client’s 4K sitting in someone else’s cloud, which matters when clients ask where their footage goes.

Measured on our own 2-hour, 2-camera 4K episode: 72.4 GB of video, 349 MB uploaded (207 times less).

  • Your editor

Finish in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve

No browser editor to learn and no rendered file you cannot change. Final Cut Pro gets a real multicam clip and a cut timeline, with every switch editable in the Angle Viewer; Premiere Pro and Resolve get a cut timeline with one track per camera. Your effects, grades and templates stay where they are.

Mac or Windows: podswitch runs in the browser, nothing to install.

  • The first pass, done

No more switching angles by hand

podswitch syncs every camera by sound, works out who is talking on each mic and makes every cut: the speaker, a listener’s reaction on long answers, the wide when people talk over each other. You start at the fine cut, with a dialogue mix that has the bleed between mics removed.

Works from the one-mic-per-speaker set-up most studios already have.

  • Yours stays yours

    Never used to train AI

Recordings are processed only to make your edit, deleted automatically when your plan’s retention period ends, and never used to train models, on any plan. Built by Metamindz, a UK company, under UK GDPR.

How it fits a session

  1. 01

    Record as you do now

One mic per guest to its own track, as many cameras as you like, and a wide shot with no mic of its own if you have one.

  2. 02

    Drop the files into podswitch

Camera files and the multitrack, straight from the cards, on the studio’s Mac or PC. The browser extracts the audio; podswitch lines everything up by sound and tells you how confident it is.

  3. 03

    Check it, change it

Watch the cut played from your own files, rename speakers, change the pacing or which mic belongs to which camera.

  4. 04

    Deliver or sell

Download the project for your team’s editor or the client’s, with the clean mix and the cut list, and on paid plans the clips and transcript.

Paid plans handle up to 5 speakers per recording. Plan limits are on the pricing page; for bigger panels or more sessions, ask us below.

Studio questions

Do we have to upload our clients’ video?

No. The browser extracts the audio from each video file on your machine and only the audio is uploaded. Every editing decision is made from the microphones, and recordings are never used to train AI.

Can we resell the edit or the project files to our clients?

Yes. Under our terms the outputs belong to you, or to whoever you received the recordings from, and you may use the files podswitch produces in any way you like: deliver a finished video, hand over editable project files, or package clips. Your client relationship and your pricing stay yours.

What do we need to record?

One microphone per speaker, recorded to its own track or file. Cameras can record their own audio or you can use a separate multitrack recorder: podswitch syncs everything by sound. Extra cameras with no microphone, such as a wide shot, can be added as angles.

Which editors can our team use?

Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Final Cut Pro gets a multicam clip and a pre-cut timeline. Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve get a pre-cut timeline with each camera on its own track, on a Mac or on Windows.

Who is responsible for our guests’ consent?

The studio or the client that uploads a recording confirms that everyone whose voice is in it has agreed to it being processed. For recordings, podswitch acts as a processor on your behalf; the privacy notice and acceptable use policy explain the details.
